Ingredients:
  • 2 tuna steaks (about 6-8 ounces each)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: Sliced cherry tomatoes, sliced bell peppers, or any other veggies of your choice
Instructions:
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, minced garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice, dried oregano, salt, and pepper.
  3. Place the tuna steaks on the prepared baking sheet. Pour the marinade over the tuna steaks, making sure they are evenly coated on both sides. Let them marinate for about 15-30 minutes at room temperature.
  4. If you're adding veggies, arrange them around the tuna steaks on the baking sheet.
  5. Once marinated, transfer the baking sheet to the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, depending on the thickness of your tuna steaks. The tuna should be cooked to your desired level of doneness (rare, medium-rare, or well-done).
  6. Once cooked, remove the sheet pan from the oven and let the tuna steaks rest for a couple of minutes before serving.
  7. Serve the tuna steaks hot with your choice of side dishes, such as roasted vegetables, rice, or a fresh salad.
