SOS! Why is my ceviche bitter?

Hey guys, major SOS here! So I tried making ceviche for the first time, and somehow it ended up bitter. Totally stumped on where things went south. Didn't let the fish marinate too long, and I'm pretty sure all ingredients were fresh. Anyone else faced this? Could really use some tips or insights. What am I missing?
 
Did that on my first time too😅 Make sure you remove any white pith from the citrus fruits you use to marinate the fish. The pith can impart a bitter taste to the ceviche if left on the fruit. Also taste the marinade first if it has balance of flavors already before putting in the fish.
