Ingredients for Dough:

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon instant yeast
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup warm milk
  • 2 eggs
Ingredients for Filling:

  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Ingredients for Coating:

  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt, and instant yeast.
  2. Make a well in the center and add the melted butter, warm milk, and eggs. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes, or until it becomes smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until it doubles in size.
  5. While the dough is rising, prepare the filling by mixing together the breadcrumbs, brown sugar, softened butter, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  6. Punch down the risen dough and divide it into portions (about 12-16 pieces).
  7. Roll out each portion into a rectangular shape and spread a generous amount of the filling onto each piece.
  8. Roll up the dough tightly into a log, sealing the edges.
  9. Roll each log in a mixture of breadcrumbs and brown sugar to coat.
  10. Place the coated rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving some space in between each roll.
  11. Let the rolls rise for another 30 minutes.
  12. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  13. Bake the rolls for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
  14. Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving.
