Spicy Sardine Dip

Ingredients:

  • 1 can (about 4.4 ounces) sardines in oil, drained
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons Greek yogurt or sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Chopped fresh parsley or chives for garnish (optional)
  • Crackers, bread, or vegetables for serving
Instructions:

  1. In a small mixing bowl, mash the drained sardines with a fork until they reach your desired consistency.
  2. Add the mayonnaise, Greek yogurt or sour cream, lemon juice, hot sauce, and garlic powder to the bowl with the mashed sardines. Mix until well combined.
  3. Taste the dip and adjust the seasoning with salt, black pepper, and additional hot sauce if desired.
  4. Transfer the dip to a serving bowl and garnish with chopped fresh parsley or chives, if using.
  5. Serve the spicy sardine dip with crackers, bread, or vegetables for dipping.
