- 1/2 cup popcorn kernels
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil (for popping)
- 3 tablespoons melted butter
- 2 tablespoons Sriracha sauce (adjust to taste)
- 1 tablespoon honey (or maple syrup)
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Optional: a squeeze of lime juice and chopped cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- Pop the Popcorn:
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Add a couple of popcorn kernels and cover the pot.
- Once the kernels pop, add the rest of the popcorn kernels. Cover the pot and shake occasionally to ensure even popping.
- Once the popping slows down, remove the pot from heat and pour the popcorn into a large bowl.
- Prepare the Sriracha Sauce:
- In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, Sriracha sauce, honey, garlic powder, and salt.
- Toss the Popcorn:
- Drizzle the Sriracha sauce mixture over the popcorn while tossing to coat evenly.
- Optional Garnish:
- For an extra touch, squeeze a bit of lime juice over the popcorn and sprinkle with chopped cilantro.
- Serve:
