This Strawberry Glaze is a must-try! I whipped it up for a dessert recently, and it turned out to be the perfect finishing touch. Sweet, vibrant, and so simple to make, it’s fantastic on everything from cakes to pancakes. Here’s how to make it:
Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Procedure
- Blend the strawberries in a blender or food processor until smooth.
- In a saucepan, combine the strawberry puree, sugar, and lemon juice. Cook over medium heat until it starts to simmer.
- Mix the cornstarch with water to create a slurry, then add it to the saucepan.
- Stir continuously until the mixture thickens, about 2-3 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
- Cool the glaze slightly before using it on your favorite desserts.
