Ingredients:

  • For the Potato Mixture:
    • 4 large potatoes, peeled and cubed
    • 2 tablespoons butter
    • 1/4 cup milk
    • Salt and pepper to taste
    • 1/2 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • For the Stuffing:
    • 1/2 cup cooked ground meat (beef, sausage, or your choice)
    • 1/4 cup finely chopped onions
    • 1/4 cup finely chopped bell peppers
    • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • For Coating:
    • 1 cup flour
    • 2 large eggs, beaten
    • 1 cup breadcrumbs

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Potatoes:
    • Boil potatoes in salted water until tender, about 15 minutes. Drain and return to pot.
    • Add butter, milk, salt, and pepper. Mash until smooth. Stir in cheese.
  2. Prepare the Stuffing:
    • In a skillet, cook ground meat with onions and bell peppers until browned. Stir in soy sauce. Allow to cool slightly.
  3. Form the Potato Balls:
    • Take a small portion of the mashed potatoes and flatten it in your hand. Place a spoonful of the meat mixture in the center and mold the potato around it to form a ball. Repeat with remaining mixture.
  4. Coat and Fry:
    • Dredge each ball in flour, then dip in beaten eggs, and coat with breadcrumbs.
    • Heat oil in a deep fryer or skillet to 350°F (175°C). Fry potato balls in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes. Drain on paper towels.

Serve hot and enjoy!
