Our Tiramisu Cupcakes bring the rich, coffee-flavored goodness of tiramisu into a fun, individual cupcake form. With a luscious mascarpone frosting and a hint of espresso, these cupcakes are perfect for a sweet indulgence any time of day!

- 1 cup granulated sugar

- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled
- 2 tablespoons coffee liqueur (optional)
- 8 oz (225 g) mascarpone cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Cocoa powder for dusting
Instructions
- Prepare the Cupcakes:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat the softened butter until creamy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Mix in the milk, coffee, and vanilla extract until combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Divide the batter evenly among the cupcake liners, filling each about 2/3 full.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let cool completely.
- Prepare the Coffee Soak:
- Mix the cooled coffee with coffee liqueur (if using).
- Soak the Cupcakes:
- Once the cupcakes are cool, brush the tops with the coffee soak, allowing it to soak in.
- Make the Mascarpone Frosting:
- In a bowl, beat the mascarpone cheese until smooth. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone cheese. Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
- Frost the Cupcakes:
- Pipe or spread the mascarpone frosting onto the cooled cupcakes.
- Dust with cocoa powder before serving.
