Tofu and Avocado Sandwich 🥪

Shout out to my fellow basketball players out there! I think I found the best meal to be eaten after playing basketball. This is the Tofu and Avocado Sandwich which has been really a great help for me to recover my muscles and strength 😤.

Also, this is just only for one serving. So if you plan to make more, just adjust the recipe.

Ingredients:
  • 1 block of firm tofu
  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 4 slices of whole grain bread
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional toppings: lettuce, tomato, cucumber
Preparation:
  1. Press tofu to remove excess water, then slice it into 1/4-inch thick slices.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat, then add tofu slices and season with salt and pepper. Cook for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  3. While tofu is cooking, mash the ripe avocado in a bowl and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Toast the slices of whole grain bread until golden brown.
  5. Assemble the sandwich by spreading mashed avocado on one side of each slice of bread.
  6. Place cooked tofu slices on top of the avocado spread.
  7. Add any optional toppings like lettuce, tomato, or cucumber if desired.
  8. Top with the remaining slices of bread to form sandwiches.
  9. Cut the sandwiches in half diagonally and serve immediately. Enjoy your nutritious post-basketball snack!
Just remember that this is just my recommendation but I can assure you that this is worth the try. Recovery is a must and eat responsibly 😁
