  • 2 oz (60 ml) gin
  • 1 oz (30 ml) fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 oz (15 ml) simple syrup*
  • Club soda (to top)
  • Ice cubes
  • Lemon slice, for garnish
  • Maraschino cherry, for garnish
Instructions:

  1. Fill a Collins glass (or any tall glass) with ice cubes.
  2. In a shaker, combine the gin, fresh lemon juice, and simple syrup.
  3. Shake well until the mixture is chilled.
  4. Strain the mixture into the prepared Collins glass over the ice.
  5. Top off the glass with club soda.
  6. Gently stir to combine.
  7. Garnish with a lemon slice and a maraschino cherry.
  8. Serve immediately and enjoy the refreshing taste of a classic Tom Collins!
*To make simple syrup, combine equal parts water and granulated sugar in a saucepan. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is dissolved. Allow the syrup to cool before using in cocktails.
