Grilled trout is a fantastic choice for a healthy and delicious meal. It’s simple to prepare and perfect for a summer barbecue or a cozy indoor dinner. The fresh flavors of the trout combined with a hint of lemon and herbs make it irresistible.
Ingredients:
- 2 whole trout, cleaned and gutted
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 lemon, thinly sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- Fresh herbs (parsley, thyme, dill)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Rinse the trout under cold water and pat dry.
- Rub the trout inside and out with olive oil, then season with salt and pepper.
- Stuff the cavity of each trout with lemon slices, garlic, and fresh herbs.
- Place the trout on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the skin is crispy and the flesh flakes easily with a fork.
- Serve immediately with extra lemon wedges and a sprinkle of fresh herbs.
