Grilled trout is a fantastic choice for a healthy and delicious meal. It’s simple to prepare and perfect for a summer barbecue or a cozy indoor dinner. The fresh flavors of the trout combined with a hint of lemon and herbs make it irresistible.

Ingredients:

  • 2 whole trout, cleaned and gutted
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 lemon, thinly sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Fresh herbs (parsley, thyme, dill)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
Procedure:

  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Rinse the trout under cold water and pat dry.
  3. Rub the trout inside and out with olive oil, then season with salt and pepper.
  4. Stuff the cavity of each trout with lemon slices, garlic, and fresh herbs.
  5. Place the trout on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the skin is crispy and the flesh flakes easily with a fork.
  6. Serve immediately with extra lemon wedges and a sprinkle of fresh herbs.
