Hey everyone, I want to introduce you to a delicious treat: vegan chocolate mousse!
This recipe is super simple, creamy, and perfect for satisfying your chocolate cravings. Letβs get started!
Ingredients:

Ingredients:
- 1 can (400ml) full-fat coconut milk or coconut cream, chilled overnight
- 200g dark chocolate (dairy-free), roughly chopped
- 2-3 tbsp maple syrup or agave nectar (adjust to taste)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- Prepare the Coconut Milk/Cream:
- Open the chilled can of coconut milk or cream. Scoop out the solidified cream into a mixing bowl, leaving the liquid behind (you can use the liquid in smoothies or other recipes).
- Melt the Chocolate:
- Place the chopped dark chocolate in a heatproof bowl. Melt it gently over a pot of simmering water (double boiler method) or microwave in short bursts, stirring until smooth.
- Mix the Ingredients:
- Allow the melted chocolate to cool slightly, then add the maple syrup (or agave nectar), vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Stir well to combine.
- Combine Coconut Cream and Chocolate:
- Whip the coconut cream using an electric mixer or a whisk until it becomes light and fluffy.
- Gently fold the melted chocolate mixture into the whipped coconut cream until fully combined and smooth.
- Chill the Mousse:
- Spoon the mousse into serving glasses or bowls. Refrigerate for at least 1-2 hours, or until set and chilled.
- Serve:
- Garnish with fresh berries, a sprinkle of cocoa powder, or some shaved chocolate if desired. Enjoy your delicious vegan chocolate mousse!
Tips:
- Ensure the coconut milk/cream is well-chilled for the best texture.
- Adjust the sweetness to your taste by adding more or less maple syrup.
- For a different flavor twist, you can add a tablespoon of your favorite liqueur or a pinch of instant coffee granules to the melted chocolate.
