Instructions:

Savory Tofu Recipe: Crispy Tofu Stir-Fry
Ingredients:
- 1 block firm tofu, drained and pressed
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp sesame oil (or vegetable oil)
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 bell pepper, sliced
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1 medium carrot, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp ginger, minced
- 2 tbsp soy sauce (for stir-fry sauce)
- 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- Cooked rice or noodles (for serving)
- Optional: sliced green onions, sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions:
- Prepare the Tofu: Cut the tofu into bite-sized cubes. Toss with 2 tbsp soy sauce and let marinate for 5 minutes.
- Coat the Tofu: After marinating, toss the tofu with cornstarch to coat it evenly. This helps it become crispy when cooked.
- Cook the Tofu: Heat sesame oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add tofu cubes and cook until golden and crispy on all sides, about 5-7 minutes. Remove tofu from the pan and set aside.
- Stir-Fry Vegetables: In the same pan, add a bit more oil if needed and stir-fry bell pepper, broccoli, and carrot until tender-crisp, about 5 minutes.
- Add Aromatics: Add garlic and ginger to the pan and stir-fry for another minute.
- Add Sauce: Stir in the soy sauce, hoisin sauce, and rice vinegar. Mix well to coat the vegetables.
- Combine Tofu and Veggies: Return the crispy tofu to the pan and toss everything together until well combined and heated through.
- Serve: Serve the stir-fry over cooked rice or noodles. Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds if desired.
