What is the difference between sliders and burgers?

Hello foodies! How many ounces should a cheeseburger sliders be? I've tried various sizes, but I'm unsure if there's a standard rule. Too small, and it's a tease; too big, and it's not a slider anymore! Any suggestions from the pros out there?
