What makes a martini dry or wet?

Hey everyone! 🍸 I just went to a classy joint last night with my friends. We ordered a martini. Then, a bartender just asked if we wanna have it dry or wet 🍹. I got startled a bit. Cause, I have no idea what that means after all. Does it really matter to you if it's dry or wet? What's the thing behind these two? Does anyone care to share? Cheers! 🥂

Hey! Dry means less vermouth, so it's stronger, while wet means more vermouth, making it milder. It's all about personal taste and how strong you like your drink.

🍸 Basically, "dry" means less vermouth for a strong kick, "wet" means more for a sweeter sip. It's all about preference, so go on and customize your martini! Cheers! 🥂
