Why is my cheese not melting in my Alfredo sauce?

Hi! Struggling with my Alfredo sauce here. For some reason, cheese refuses to melt properly. I've tried different heat levels, but no luck. Could be my choice of cheese or something else in my process? Would love any tips or tricks you've found effective. Thanks in advance for helping out!
 
I always use Parmesan when cooking Alfredo and I haven't encountered a problem like yours though. Maybe you can try switching your choice of cheese and make sure that you add it near the end of your cooking ;)
