Hey everyone! I’m excited to share a delicious Japanese snack: Yakisoba Pan. This tasty sandwich filled with stir-fried noodles is perfect for a quick and satisfying bite. Let’s dive in!

Ingredients:

  • 2 hot dog buns
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1/2 onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 carrot, julienned
  • 1/2 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup cabbage, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup yakisoba noodles (pre-cooked)
  • 2 tablespoons yakisoba sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • Pickled ginger (beni shoga), for garnish
  • Aonori (seaweed flakes), for garnish
Instructions:

  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the sliced onion, carrot, and green bell pepper. Stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are slightly tender.
  3. Add the sliced cabbage and continue to stir-fry for another 2 minutes until the cabbage is wilted.
  4. Add the pre-cooked yakisoba noodles to the skillet and toss with the vegetables.
  5. Pour the yakisoba sauce over the noodles and vegetables, stirring well to ensure everything is evenly coated and heated through.
  6. Remove the skillet from the heat.
  7. Open the hot dog buns and lightly toast them if desired.
  8. Fill each bun generously with the yakisoba mixture.
  9. Garnish with pickled ginger and aonori on top.
  10. Serve immediately and enjoy!
