Air Fryer Fried Shrimp with Spicy Remoulade Sauce
Ingredients:

Fried Shrimp:
  • 1 pound large shrimp (16/20 count), peeled and deveined, tails on
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • Nonstick cooking spray
Spicy Remoulade Sauce:
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons chopped pickled jalapenos
  • 2 tablespoons whole grain mustard
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce
  • 1 scallion, thinly sliced

Directions:
  1. Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper.
  2. In a shallow bowl or baking dish, whisk together the flour with 3/4 teaspoon salt and some pepper. In another shallow bowl, whisk the eggs with a pinch of salt. Place the panko breadcrumbs in a third shallow bowl.
  3. Dip each shrimp first in the seasoned flour, then in the beaten eggs, and finally coat with panko breadcrumbs, ensuring they're evenly covered. Place the breaded shrimp on a large plate or rimmed baking sheet.
  4. Preheat your 3.5-quart air fryer to 385 degrees F. Working in batches, arrange some shrimp in a single layer in the fryer basket and lightly spray with cooking spray. Cook, flipping halfway through, until the shrimp are golden brown and cooked through, about 10 minutes.
  5. While the shrimp are cooking, prepare the spicy remoulade sauce. In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, chopped pickled jalapenos, whole grain mustard, ketchup, hot sauce, and sliced scallion until smooth.
  6. Serve the crispy fried shrimp hot with the spicy remoulade sauce on the side for dipping.
