Hey everyone! I wanted to share a special family recipe that has become a beloved tradition during the holidays—my aunt's Almond Tea Bread. She brought this recipe with her from Scotland, and every time I bake it, I'm reminded of cozy family gatherings and festive cheer. It's super easy to make and perfect for enjoying with a cup of tea. I hope you'll love it as much as we do!

  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then add the almond extract and mix well.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.
  6. Fold in the sliced almonds.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread it out evenly.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing and serving.
Baking this Almond Tea Bread always brings back fond memories of family and holiday joy. I hope it becomes a cherished tradition in your home too. Enjoy every slice! Happy baking! 🍞✨
