Anyone else get foot pain after long cooking sessions?

Hi everyone,

Recently, I have spent more time in my kitchen trying out new recipes. This is especially true for dishes that require longer preparation and cooking times. After standing for two hours or more, I notice that my feet are sore. This is especially true around the heel.

It's something I didn't notice before but it is now quite obvious, especially when cooking on kitchen floors that are hard without breaks.

My friend recently told me that standing for long periods of time can lead to foot problems or worse over time. They shared an experience with foot surgery in Perth where they had similar problems that started because of daily habits such as standing for long periods.

What a curious question!

  • Are you experiencing foot pain after cooking?
  • Use anti-fatigue mats and specific footwear when you are in the kitchen.
  • What simple changes or habits can you make to reduce your discomfort?
I love cooking and trying out new recipes. I would like to find a better way to do it without sacrificing time in the kitchen.

We would love to hear about your experiences and tips!
