  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
For the crumble topping:

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup cold butter, cubed

  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • A pinch of salt
Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix the sliced apples with brown sugar, ginger, cinnamon, lemon juice, and cornstarch. Pour into a greased 9x9-inch baking dish.
  3. In another bowl, combine oats, flour, brown sugar, ginger, cinnamon, and salt. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Sprinkle the crumble topping evenly over the apple mixture.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes, until the apples are bubbly and the topping is golden brown.
