Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/4 cups milk
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 6 strips of cooked bacon, chopped
Instructions:

  1. Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the milk, vegetable oil, and eggs until well combined.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  5. Fold in the shredded cheddar cheese and chopped bacon until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
  6. Pour the batter onto the preheated waffle iron and cook according to the manufacturer's instructions, until golden brown and crisp.
  7. Serve the bacon cheddar waffles hot with your favorite toppings, such as maple syrup or sour cream.
