I've got to share this incredible Banh Mi recipe with you—it's a game-changer. After trying it once, I was hooked. The perfect balance of savory, sweet, and tangy flavors makes it irresistible. Here's how to make this Vietnamese sandwich:

Ingredients:

  • Baguettes or French rolls
  • 1 lb pork tenderloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons fish sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemongrass, finely chopped
  • 1 carrot, julienned
  • 1 daikon radish, julienned
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha
  • Fresh cilantro
  • Jalapeño slices
  • Cucumber, thinly sliced
Instructions:

  1. Marinate the pork with soy sauce, fish sauce, sugar, garlic, and lemongrass for at least 30 minutes.
  2. In a bowl, combine the carrot, daikon, rice vinegar, and 1 tablespoon sugar. Let it sit for 20 minutes to pickle.
  3. Mix the mayonnaise and sriracha together to make a spicy mayo.
  4. Grill or pan-fry the marinated pork until fully cooked and slightly caramelized.
  5. Slice the baguettes lengthwise, spread the spicy mayo inside, and layer with pork, pickled veggies, cucumber slices, cilantro, and jalapeño slices.
And that's it! Your Banh Mi is ready to be devoured. The flavors come together so perfectly—you'll feel like you're enjoying a little taste of Vietnam. 🌟😋
