Hey everyone! Excited to share a delicious and easy pastry recipe: Balsamic Strawberry and Basil Galettes! 
These treats are bursting with sweet strawberries, tangy balsamic, and fresh basil, all wrapped in flaky puff pastry. Perfect for impressing guests or treating yourself to a taste of summer.

- 1 sheet of store-bought puff pastry, thawed
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon fresh basil leaves, finely chopped
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Optional: powdered sugar for dusting
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, toss the sliced strawberries with balsamic vinegar, granulated sugar, and chopped basil until well coated. Set aside.
- Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut it into 4 equal squares.
- Spoon the strawberry mixture onto the center of each pastry square, leaving a border around the edges.
- Gently fold the edges of the pastry over the strawberries, pleating as needed to create a rustic galette shape.
- Place the assembled galettes on the prepared baking sheet and brush the pastry edges with beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and the strawberries are bubbly.
- Allow the galettes to cool slightly before serving. Optionally, dust with powdered sugar for a decorative touch.
