  • 3-4 pieces red chili peppers (siling labuyo), chopped (adjust according to your preferred level of spiciness)
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 2 tablespoons shrimp paste (bagoong alamang)
  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
  1. In a pan, heat the cooking oil over medium heat.
  2. Sauté the onions and garlic until fragrant and translucent.
  3. Add the pork belly strips to the pan and cook until they are lightly browned.
  4. Stir in the shrimp paste (bagoong alamang) and continue to cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  5. Add the chopped green and red chili peppers to the pan. Mix well to combine.
  6. Pour in the coconut milk and let the mixture simmer for about 15-20 minutes or until the pork is tender and the sauce has thickened.
  7. Season with salt and pepper according to your taste preference.
  8. Serve hot with steamed rice.
