Ingredients:
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp white sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 4 tsp baking powder
  • 2 eggs, separated
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled slightly
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Butter or oil for waffle iron
For Serving:
Maple syrup, fresh berries, whipped cream, chocolate sauce, chopped nuts, you name it!

Instructions:
  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder.
  2. Separate the egg yolks from the whites, putting the yolks in one bowl and the whites in another.
  3. Make a well in the dry ingredients and pour in the milk, melted butter, vanilla, and egg yolks. Use a fork to gently mix until just combined (a few lumps are fine).
  4. In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites with a hand mixer until stiff peaks form.
  5. Use a spatula to gently fold the beaten egg whites into the waffle batter until just incorporated. Try not to overmix!
  6. Preheat your waffle iron and give it a light coat of butter or oil to prevent sticking.
  7. Pour batter onto the hot waffle iron in batches, using about 1/2 cup per waffle section. Close the lid and cook 4-5 minutes until deeply golden brown.
  8. Remove the waffles from the iron and place them directly on a wire rack to keep crispy.
  9. Stack 'em up and get that toppings bar ready! Drizzle with maple syrup, fresh berries, nuts, chocolate sauce, whipped cream...go as wild as you want.

There's nothing quite like the aroma of Belgian waffles wafting from the kitchen to start your day off right. These crispy, yeasty, irresistible waffles are pure breakfast bliss.Dig into those waffles and feel extravagantly fancy 💅🧇
