Hey, Friends! Are you looking for something sweet? This recipe is like a truffles but this time, It's from Brazil. This is Brigadeiros, an easy and delicious treat for a sweet tooth.
You can store brigadeiros in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week, although they're usually devoured much quicker than that! Enjoy your homemade brigadeiros!
Ingredients:
- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- 3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
- Chocolate sprinkles or cocoa powder for coating
Instructions:
- Mix Ingredients: In a non-stick saucepan, combine the sweetened condensed milk, cocoa powder, and butter. Mix well until everything is fully incorporated.
- Cook: Cook the mixture over medium-low heat, stirring constantly with a wooden spoon. Make sure to scrape the bottom and sides of the pan to prevent burning. Cook until the mixture thickens and starts to pull away from the bottom of the pan. This usually takes about 10-15 minutes.
- Chill: Transfer the mixture to a bowl and let it cool to room temperature. Then, cover it and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or until it's firm enough to shape.
- Shape: Once the mixture has chilled and firmed up, lightly grease your hands with butter or oil to prevent sticking. Take small portions of the mixture and roll them into balls, about 1 inch in diameter.
- Coat: Roll the balls in chocolate sprinkles or cocoa powder until they're fully coated.
- Serve: Place the brigadeiros in small paper cups or on a plate. They're now ready to be enjoyed!
