Hello to all of you, Today, I am introducing a very easy recipe called Cajun Shrimp and Rice Skillet which is a delicious one pot dish that you could make using boiled rice and shrimps with Cajun seasoning for you and your family. - 1 ⅓ cups uncooked long grain white rice
- 2 ⅔ cups chicken broth
- 1 pound large or jumbo shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 tablespoons butter, melted, divided
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1 ½ teaspoons paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon cracked black pepper
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon dried oregano (or Italian herb blend/Herbs de Provence)
- ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
- ¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- Mix all the Cajun seasoning ingredients together.
- In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add garlic, half of the Cajun seasoning, and rice. Stir.
- Add chicken broth, bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer. Cover and cook for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- While the rice cooks, mix the remaining 2 tablespoons of melted butter with the rest of the Cajun seasoning and coat the shrimp with it.
- Add the shrimp to the rice, cover, and cook for another 3-5 minutes until the shrimp is pink and opaque.
- Garnish with chopped parsley if desired and serve.
