Can you actually taste the beer in beer brats?

I'm wondering if you can really taste the beer when you cook brats in it. Is the beer flavor noticeable, or is it more subtle? I'd love to hear your experiences with this method and if the beer choice affects the taste much!

I think the beer adds a unique undertone to the brats, but the taste isn’t too strong. Though, if you use a beer with bold flavors, it can definitely make a difference!
