- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 ripe bananas, sliced
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- Maple syrup for serving
- In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, and vanilla extract.
- Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, making sure both sides are well coated.
- Heat 1 tbsp of butter in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the bread slices for about 2-3 minutes per side, until golden brown.
- In the same skillet, melt the remaining 1 tbsp of butter. Add the banana slices and brown sugar. Cook until the bananas are caramelized, about 2-3 minutes.
- Top the French toast with the caramelized bananas.
- Serve with maple syrup.
