Hey sweet tooths! If you’re looking for a breakfast treat that’s a bit more indulgent, you’ve gotta try this Caramelized Banana French Toast. It’s rich, sweet, and just downright delicious. Perfect for those mornings when you want to treat yourself to something special. Let’s get started!

Ingredients:

  • 4 slices of thick bread (like brioche or challah)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 ripe bananas, sliced
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • Maple syrup for serving
Procedure:

  1. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, and vanilla extract.
  2. Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, making sure both sides are well coated.
  3. Heat 1 tbsp of butter in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the bread slices for about 2-3 minutes per side, until golden brown.
  4. In the same skillet, melt the remaining 1 tbsp of butter. Add the banana slices and brown sugar. Cook until the bananas are caramelized, about 2-3 minutes.
  5. Top the French toast with the caramelized bananas.
  6. Serve with maple syrup.
