Ingredients:

  • 2 quarts water
  • 6 ounces dried red sorrel buds
  • 4 ounces ginger, sliced thin
  • Ice cubes
  • Simple syrup, to taste
  • 2 ounces lime juice
  • 4 ounces rum (I recommend 151 for that kick!)
Directions:
  1. Start by bringing the water to a boil. Once it's bubbling, take it off the heat and stir in the sorrel and sliced ginger. Let that steep for about 45 minutes, so all the flavors really come together.
  2. After steeping, strain the mixture to get rid of the solids.
  3. Grab a shaker and fill it with ice cubes. For two servings, add about 2 to 3 ounces of the strained sorrel juice, 2 ounces of simple syrup, a splash of lime juice, and a jigger of rum.
  4. Shake it all up until it's nice and chilled, then pour it out into your favorite glasses.

Enjoy your delicious Caribbean Sorrel Cocktail and let the flavors transport you to a sunny beach! 🌴✨
