Delight in a hearty bowl of Chashu Ramen, featuring tender slices of braised pork belly in a rich and savory broth.
**Ingredients**:
- 1 lb Chashu (braised pork belly), sliced
- 4 cups chicken or pork broth
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp mirin
- 1 tbsp miso paste (optional, for added depth)
- 4 servings fresh or dried ramen noodles
- 4 soft-boiled eggs, halved
- 1 cup sliced bamboo shoots (menma)
- 1 cup corn kernels (optional)
- 2 green onions, sliced
- 1 sheet nori, cut into strips
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
**Instructions**:
1. **Prepare the Broth**:
- In a large pot, combine the chicken or pork broth, soy sauce, mirin, and miso paste (if using). Bring to a simmer over medium heat.
2. **Cook the Noodles**:
- Cook the ramen noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
3. **Assemble the Ramen Bowls**:
- Divide the cooked ramen noodles among four bowls.
- Pour the hot broth over the noodles.
- Arrange the sliced Chashu, halved soft-boiled eggs, bamboo shoots, corn kernels (if using), and sliced green onions on top of the noodles.
4. **Garnish and Serve**:
- Drizzle a bit of sesame oil over each bowl.
- Garnish with strips of nori.
