Hey everyone! I wanted to share my go-to cheese fondue recipe that's always a hit at gatherings. It's super easy to make and perfect for dipping all sorts of goodies. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
  • 1 clove garlic, halved
  • 1 cup dry white wine
  • 8 oz Gruyère cheese, grated
  • 8 oz Emmental cheese, grated
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp kirsch (cherry brandy)
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • Freshly grated nutmeg
  • Assorted dippers: cubed bread, apple slices, steamed vegetables, pretzels, etc.
Instructions:
  1. Rub the inside of a fondue pot or heavy saucepan with the cut sides of the garlic halves. Discard the garlic.
  2. Pour the wine into the pot and bring to a simmer over medium heat.
  3. In a large bowl, toss the Gruyère and Emmental cheese with the cornstarch.
  4. Gradually add the cheese to the simmering wine, stirring constantly in a figure-eight motion until the cheese is melted and smooth.
  5. Stir in the kirsch and season with black pepper and nutmeg to taste.
  6. Keep the fondue warm over low heat and serve with your favorite dippers.
