Chocolate Chip Shortbread Recipe

I just made these chocolate chip shortbread cookies, and they are dangerously good! Buttery, crisp, and full of chocolatey goodness.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
  • A pinch of salt
Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Mix in the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt.
  4. Gradually add the flour, mixing until just combined.
  5. Stir in the mini chocolate chips.
  6. Roll the dough into small balls or press it into a flat log shape, then slice into rounds.
  7. Place on the baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes, until the edges are lightly golden.
  8. Let cool before serving.
These are melt-in-your-mouth good and perfect with a cup of tea!
