Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley (optional)
For the Glaze:

  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp mustard
Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Mix the Meatloaf: In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped onion, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and parsley. Mix until just combined—don’t overmix.
  3. Shape the Loaf: Transfer the meat mixture to a loaf pan or shape it into a loaf on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Make the Glaze: In a small bowl, mix together the ketchup, brown sugar, and mustard. Spread half of the glaze over the top of the meatloaf.
  5. Bake: Bake for 45-55 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C). About 10 minutes before it’s done, spread the remaining glaze on top.
  6. Serve: Let the meatloaf rest for a few minutes before slicing. Serve with your favorite sides and enjoy!

Hey foodies! I think a classic meatloaf is all about the seasoning and the glaze on top. Though, adding a bit of cheese in the middle can make it extra delicious šŸ§€šŸ½ļø.
