  • 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips (or your favorite mix-ins like nuts or dried fruit)
Instructions:
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch round cake pan or springform pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips or your chosen mix-ins until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
  6. Press the cookie dough evenly into the prepared cake pan.
