Ingredients:
Instructions:
Ingredients:
- 1 lb (450g) beef steak (sirloin, ribeye, or tenderloin), thinly sliced
- 2 cups sliced mushrooms (such as button or cremini)
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish
Instructions:
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sliced beef in batches and cook until browned on all sides. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the butter. Once melted, add the chopped onion and minced garlic. Sauté until the onion is soft and translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook until they are tender and browned, about 5-6 minutes.
- Sprinkle the flour over the mushrooms and onions. Stir well to combine and cook for another 2 minutes to cook off the raw flour taste.
- Slowly pour in the beef broth while stirring constantly to prevent lumps from forming. Bring the mixture to a simmer and let it cook for a few minutes until slightly thickened.
- Stir in the heavy cream and return the browned beef to the skillet. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Let the mixture simmer gently for another 5-7 minutes, or until the beef is cooked through and the sauce has thickened to your desired consistency.
- Once the beef is cooked and the sauce has thickened, remove the skillet from the heat. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
- Serve the creamy beef with mushrooms hot, garnished with chopped fresh parsley. It pairs well with mashed potatoes, rice, or pasta.
