Creamy Garlic Parmesan Chicken
Ingredients:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 tsp dried Italian herbs (or fresh herbs if available)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
- Cook Chicken: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then cook for 6-7 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- Make Sauce: In the same skillet, add minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute, until fragrant. Pour in the chicken broth and scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
- Add Cream and Cheese: Stir in the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens, about 5 minutes.
- Combine: Return the chicken to the skillet and spoon some of the sauce over the top. Simmer for an additional 5 minutes to let the flavors meld together.
