One of my favorite light lunch options is this creamy garlic parmesan spaghetti. That made me feel something because of how creamy it was. This takes less than thirty minutes to prepare, making it ideal for hectic days when you don't want to spend a lot of time in the kitchen or in a rush.
Ingredients:
Ingredients:
- 8 ounces of pasta (such as fettuccine or penne)
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- 4 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 cup of heavy cream
- 1 cup of grated parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish (optional)
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Let it cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened.
- Reduce the heat to low and gradually add the grated parmesan cheese to the cream mixture, stirring constantly until the cheese has melted and the sauce is smooth and creamy.
- Season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste. Adjust the seasoning as needed.
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss until evenly coated in the creamy garlic parmesan sauce.
- Serve the pasta hot, garnished with chopped fresh parsley if desired.
