Hey everyone! I wanted to share one of my go-to fish steak recipes. It’s super easy, comes out juicy every time, and works with almost any firm fish like tuna, salmon, or swordfish. Hope you give it a try!

Ingredients:

  • 2 fish steaks (tuna, salmon, or swordfish)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter (optional, but adds richness)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt (or to taste)
  • Fresh parsley or chives (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Marinate the fish – Rub the steaks with olive oil, soy sauce, lemon juice, paprika, salt, and pepper. Let it sit for 15-20 minutes.
  2. Heat a pan – Get a heavy skillet (cast iron works best) hot over medium-high heat. Add a bit of olive oil and butter.
  3. Sear the fish – Place the fish steak in the pan and sear for about 3-4 minutes on one side until golden brown. Flip and sear for another 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add garlic – Toss in the minced garlic during the last minute and let it get fragrant without burning.
  5. Finish and serve – Drizzle any leftover pan juices over the fish, garnish with fresh herbs, and serve hot!
