Ingredients:

  • 500g white fish fillets (such as cod or haddock), cut into sticks
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying
Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Season the fish sticks with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  3. Set up a breading station with three shallow bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs.
  4. Dredge each fish stick in the flour, shaking off any excess. Then dip it into the beaten eggs, followed by the breadcrumbs, ensuring each stick is evenly coated.
  5. Place the coated fish sticks on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Drizzle or spray the fish sticks lightly with oil.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the fish sticks are golden brown and cooked through, flipping halfway through baking.
  8. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce. Enjoy your homemade fish sticks!
