Come on! have some coffee

Ingredients:
- 1 double shot of espresso (about 2 ounces)
- 4 ounces of whole milk
Equipment:
- Espresso machine
- Milk frother or steam wand
- Thermometer (optional)
Instructions:
- Prepare the espresso:
- Brew a double shot of espresso using your espresso machine. Pour the espresso into a pre-warmed cup.
- Steam the milk:
- Pour 4 ounces of whole milk into a steaming pitcher.
- Use the steam wand of your espresso machine to froth the milk. Insert the steam wand just below the surface of the milk and create microfoam by allowing tiny bubbles to form. The goal is to create a smooth, velvety texture rather than a thick foam.
- Heat the milk to about 150-155°F (65-68°C). You can use a thermometer to check the temperature or stop when the pitcher becomes too hot to touch.
- Pour the milk:
- Gently tap the pitcher on a counter to remove any large air bubbles and swirl the milk to ensure a smooth texture.
- Slowly pour the steamed milk over the espresso, starting with the cup tilted slightly and straightening it as you pour. Aim to achieve a creamy consistency with a thin layer of microfoam on top.
- Serve:
- Your flat white is now ready to enjoy. It should have a strong coffee flavor balanced by the smooth, velvety milk.
