Here's what you'll need:
Ingredients:
- 2 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1 cup natural peanut butter
- 1/3 cup maple syrup
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/3 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips (plus more for topping)
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F and grease an 8x8 baking pan.
- In a large bowl, mix together the mashed bananas, peanut butter, maple syrup, and vanilla until well combined.
- Sprinkle in the baking soda, salt, and cocoa powder. Fold to incorporate, being careful not to overmix.
- Finally, fold in 1/2 cup of chocolate chips.
- Spread the thick batter evenly into the prepared pan and optionally top with extra chocolate chips.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes until set around the edges but still slightly underbaked in the center.
- Allow to cool completely before slicing into squares.
