Ingredients
- 1 loaf of French bread or Italian bread
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 4 cloves garlic, minced (adjust to taste)
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley (or 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped)
- 1/4 teaspoon salt (optional)
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper (optional)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Prepare the Garlic Butter: In a mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Slice the Bread: Cut the loaf of bread in half lengthwise. If you prefer smaller pieces, you can slice it into individual portions.
- Spread the Butter: Generously spread the garlic butter mixture over the cut sides of the bread. Make sure to cover it evenly.
- Optional Topping: If you like, sprinkle some grated Parmesan cheese on top for extra flavor.
- Bake: Place the bread halves on a baking sheet, cut side up, and bake in the preheated oven for about 10-15 minutes, or until the edges are golden and crispy.
- Serve: Remove from the oven, let cool for a minute, then slice and serve warm.
