Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs crab legs (king crab or snow crab works great)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions:

  1. Preheat and Prep: Preheat your oven to 375°F. Rinse the crab legs under cold water to remove any ice crystals and pat them dry with paper towels.
  2. Prepare the Butter Sauce: In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes. Be careful not to burn the garlic! Stir in the lemon juice and chopped parsley, then season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Arrange the Crab Legs: Place the crab legs in a large baking dish. If they’re too long, you can break them at the joints to fit. Pour the garlic butter sauce over the crab legs, making sure they’re well coated.
  4. Bake: Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for about 25 minutes. The crab legs should be heated through and the butter sauce should be bubbling.
  5. Serve: Remove from the oven and carefully uncover the foil (watch out for steam!). Serve the crab legs with lemon wedges and any extra butter sauce from the dish. It’s great with a side of crusty bread or a simple green salad.
