Ingredients:
  • 2 sticks (1 cup) unsalted butter, softened
  • cup powdered sugar
  • 2 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
  • Slivered pistachios (for topping)

Instructions:
  • In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to cream together the butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy (about 4-5 minutes).
  • Gradually add the flour in two parts, mixing with a spatula. If the dough seems too dry, add water 1 tablespoon at a time until it holds together when pinched.
  • Shape the dough into a disk, wrap it in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 1 hour.
  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • Take 1 tablespoon of dough, roll it into a ball with your hands, and place it on the baking sheet. Press a slivered pistachio into the top of each dough ball.
  • Bake the cookies for about 12 minutes, rotating the baking sheets halfway through baking, until they've slightly expanded and the bottoms are light golden.
  • Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for 15 minutes, then transfer them to a plate.
  • Store the cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
Enjoy your very own Ghorayeba cookie! 🤤🤗

Hey, thanks for sharing this recipe! I've tried it with a twist by adding a pinch of cardamom to the dough, and it turned out fantastic. Definitely recommend giving it a try! 🍪✨
