  • 1 round loaf (1-1/2 pounds) rye bread
  • 1 tablespoon prepared horseradish
  • 1/4 pound sliced deli roast beef
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 4 to 6 slices Swiss cheese
  • 2 tablespoons prepared mustard
  • 1/4 pound sliced deli ham
  • 6 bacon strips, cooked
  • 6 slices process American cheese
  • 1 medium tomato, thinly sliced
  • 4 slices red onion, separated into rings
  • 1 tablespoon softened butter



Directions:

  1. Cut the round loaf of bread horizontally into six slices.
  2. Spread horseradish on the bottom slice, then add roast beef.
  3. Place the next slice of bread on top and spread mayonnaise, then add Swiss cheese.
  4. Add the next slice of bread, spread mustard, and add ham.
  5. Place the next slice of bread on top, add bacon and American cheese.
  6. Add the next slice of bread, top with tomato and onion.
  7. Spread softened butter on the cut side of the top slice of bread and cover the sandwich.
  8. Place the sandwich on a baking sheet, loosely tent with foil, and bake at 400°F for 12-14 minutes until heated through
  9. Carefully slice the sandwich into wedges and serve.
