Hey there! Did someone say they wanted to whip up a treat for their sweet grandma? Well, you've come to the right place ..This puffy, golden dutch baby is pure breakfast bliss. It's one of grandma's all-time favorites, and I bet she'll go nuts for your homemade version! Let's get baking
Ingredients:
Ingredients:
- 3 large eggs
- 2/3 cup milk
- 2/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp white sugar
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 4 tbsp butter
- Preheat your oven to 425°F. Place a 9 or 10-inch oven-safe skillet or baking dish in the oven to get screaming hot while you make the batter.
- In a blender, combine the eggs, milk, flour, sugar, vanilla and salt. Blend until a smooth, pourable batter forms, about 30 seconds to 1 minute.
- Carefully remove the hot skillet/dish from the oven and add the butter. It should sizzle and melt right away.
- Pour the batter directly into the hot butter and immediately return the pan to the oven.
- Bake for 18-22 minutes until the dutch baby is puffed up and deeply golden around the edges.
- Remove from oven and admire that glorious puffed beauty! It will quickly deflate, but that's okay.
- Cut it into wedges and top with grandma's favorite toppings - powdered sugar, fresh fruit, syrup, you name it!
