Instructions:
1. Crack the eggs into a mixing bowl and beat them until the yolks and whites are well combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
2. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add the butter or oil and let it melt or heat up.
3. Pour the beaten eggs into the skillet, swirling the pan to ensure an even layer.
4. Let the eggs cook undisturbed for about 1-2 minutes until the edges start to set.
5. Sprinkle the diced ham and shredded Swiss cheese evenly over one half of the omelet.
6. Using a spatula, carefully fold the other half of the omelet over the filling, creating a half-moon shape.
7. Cook for another 1-2 minutes until the cheese is melted and the omelet is cooked through to your liking. You can gently press down on the omelet with the spatula to help it cook evenly.
8. Once cooked, slide the omelet onto a plate and garnish with chopped fresh herbs if desired.
9. Serve hot and enjoy your delicious Ham and Swiss Omelet!

Feel free to adjust the quantities of ham and cheese according to your preference, and you can also add in other ingredients like diced vegetables or herbs for extra flavor.
