Help! Why does my tomato basil soup taste bitter?" Hey foodie friends! I whipped up a batch of tomato basil soup, but it turned out bitter! Any idea what could've gone wrong? I used fresh ingredients, so I'm stumped. Any tips or tricks to salvage my soup would be greatly appreciated!

I personally find that a pinch of sugar can balance out the acidity of the tomatoes and help counteract any bitterness, though it's a matter of taste!
